Welcome to Wild Cat Foundation!

We are a volunteer group dedicated to promoting humane solutions to feral feline overpopulation.

TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Return) has been proven to be the only humane method to reducing the population of unwanted felines and in 10 years, Wild Cat Foundation has trapped, neutered and returned more than 10,000 cats!

We help train and advise colony caregivers how to humanely trap feral cats which are then transported to feral friendly veterinarians for vetting, then returned to their colonies.

We work hard and get results: Here are our statistics in pdf format !

 Cats Clocking In

Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center is

Introducing Cats Clocking In,

Lafayette's Working Cat Program!

Cats unsuitable for traditional adoption will be employed where pest control is needed such as barns, farms, factories, warehouses, stores and private property. The cats get a home with food and shelter, and their employers get a natural pest control solution free of poisons and traps.

With the assistance of Wild Cat Foundation/SpayNation for Dogs & Cats, working cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ear tipped
at no cost to the adopter.

Low Cost Spay/Neuter Center

Affordable spay/neuter for pets is an essential part of the No Kill Equation. If people can't afford to get their pets fixed, unwanted litters will continue to happen with deadly consequences. This is a vicious circle that has to be stopped.

SpayNation for Dogs & Cats, the first low cost spay/neuter center in Acadiana, opened on April 12, 2010. It provides a desperately needed low cost option to assist pet owners in spaying/neutering their dogs and cats. The center also works with local animal welfare groups to provide spay/neuter surgery for their rescued animals prior to re-homing.
